As any parent knows, getting kids to play outside can be challenging in a world of electronic entertainment. However, there are many good reasons why you should encourage your kids to spend time outdoors — playing in a cubby house, swing set, sandpit, or bouncy castle. Outdoor play helps promote physical activity, coordination, and creative development.
Lovely Shack with Mud Kitchen
This large ground-level cubby features a 1.2m high front door, large verandah with fence, letterbox, and opening shop-style windows with shelves. Includes our signature Sandpit/Mud Kitchen to the side. The Lovely Shack is taller than most cubbies—an adult can even stand inside! Crafted from 1.2cm thick premium Canadian Hemlock and/or Fir Wood, steam-treated to resist rot and fungal decay. Not chemically treated. Pre-painted in a water-based, non-toxic temporary stain (colour may vary). Repainting with primer and two coats of Taubmans outdoor paint is recommended within 4 weeks of setup. A Taubmans discount code will be included with your invoice.
Easy Assembly: Pre-made panels and pre-drilled holes. Estimated 2–3 hours with two adults and a battery drill.
Max Capacity: 3–4 children (approx. 100kg total).
Not suitable for children under 3 years. Adult supervision required. Accessories/toys not included.
